Overview — Sensory Provence in 5 Days

Provence seduces all senses: lavender, olive oil, Cézanne’s golden light and golden stone villages. Ideal for couples and photographers. Best season: June or September.


Day 1 — Aix-en-Provence

Morning: TGV from Paris (3h) or Marseille airport transfer. Coffee at Deux Garçons on Cours Mirabeau.

Afternoon: Cours Mirabeau fountains → Atelier Cézanne (€6.50).

Evening: L’Incontournable — contemporary Provençal cuisine.


Day 2 — Markets & Luberon

Morning: Marché du Cours Mirabeau — olive oil, tapenade, goat cheese.

Afternoon: GordesAbbaye de Sénanque lavender field.


Day 3 — Cassis & Calanques

Boat tour of Calanques fiords (€25–35). Lunch in Cassis port. Cap Canaille panoramic drive.


Day 4 — Éze, Saint-Paul & Nice

Best time to see lavender?

Peak bloom is June 15 – July 15 in Valensole and Sault. May and September are also excellent.

Do I need a car in Provence?

Highly recommended for hill villages and vineyards. TGV to Aix + local rental works best.
