About Us — Guia França Turismo

Guia França Turismo was born from the wish to help people plan a trip to France beyond the basics. We know you travel better when you go past a postcard checklist, so we focus on what really matters under pressure: practical, up-to-date, down-to-earth information. France is often described in poetic terms, but when you are planning you need hours, reference prices, how to get around and how to make better decisions.

Our mission

Our goal is to help Portuguese-speaking travellers (and readers worldwide) build smarter itineraries. We want you to waste less time in unnecessary queues, avoid budget surprises and understand the historical and culinary context of each stop. We prefer quality and depth over empty volume. Every full guide here exists to answer direct questions: How do I get there? How much should I set aside? What is worth ordering? What is better to skip?

How we research and keep everything up to date

We take accuracy seriously. All practical information on the site — addresses, metro stations, opening hours, price ranges and links — is checked directly against official sources and institutional pages for attractions, hotels and restaurants. When a figure changes quickly (museum tickets or a lunch menu price), we note the reference and the date of the last check in the text itself. We do not invent experiences we did not have: if a price or schedule was verified online on a specific date, we make that clear.

Our commitments to you

  • Practical utility first: metro, how to book, real prices and opening hours.
  • The right amount of cultural baggage: historical context so you understand the value of where you stand.
  • Full transparency: we prefer “verified in July 2026 on the official site” to vague claims.
  • Active listening: if a reader flags a change or error, our priority is to fix it promptly.

Transparency and affiliate links

To keep the project running, we may show ads and affiliate links (including Google AdSense). That never changes our editorial criteria. We recommend a place for quality, location and value — never for who pays more. If a piece of content comes from a commercial partnership, you will know immediately because we disclose it clearly in the text. Advertisers do not choose what enters or leaves our guides.

Mary Medeiros

I'm Mary Medeiros, editor-in-chief of Guia França Turismo. Thank you for stopping by. Passionate about travel, I've visited more than 15 countries — and France remains the destination that inspires me most. Living history, preserved culture and an enormous variety of experiences make the country an inexhaustible territory for anyone who wants to explore with curiosity and method. On this guide I oversee the editorial line: I prioritise practical information, cultural context and useful recommendations so you can plan with more confidence and less improvisation.
